Join the Maryville College Counseling Center, Center for Campus Ministry, Disability Resources & Accessibility, and Mountain Challenge as we plant hope gardens across campus on October 3, 2023. Yellow tulips are a symbol of hope, and we are planting yellow tulips during Mental Illness Awareness Week to end stigma and create hope and awareness for people affected by mental illness. More information about Hope Gardens can be found here. The celebration of hope will start outside the Center for Campus Ministry at 1:15 PM. Planting continues at Crawford House at 2:00 PM and around Thaw Hall at 3:00 PM. In addition to planting, participants will have the opportunity to paint rocks for the gardens and leave messages of hope for other visitors. You can let us know to save you some bulbs by emailing Kelly Fitzgerald at kelly.fitzgerald@maryvillecollege by October 2, or feel free to just stop by to plant a little hope with us! #namimaryville#maryvillecollege#mentalhealthawareness#tulips
