We welcomed Nicci Grigsby LCSW and Kim Davis BA from the McNabb Center Anderson County at our support group meeting on 2/19. They are heading up McNab's OnTrack Program for those residents of Blount, Loudon and Monroe Counties residents from ages 15 to 30 who have experienced their first episode of psychosis within the last two years. They discussed what psychosis is, how it presents, what a shared decision making model looks like, eligibility for the program and how to support someone who has a serious mental illness. This is helpful information for all of us, even if our loved one is not eligible for the program.
